Catalog Modes

The Catalog Modes page allows you to easily create and manage an unlimited number of catalog mode settings based on product rules and conditions.

Apply Method

This field lets you choose how catalog mode settings are applied to the shop, cart, and checkout pages. You can set the field to apply all valid catalog mode settings, apply first valid catalog mode settings, apply last valid catalog mode settings, or do not apply any catalog mode settings.


Setting Up Catalog Modes

To create a new catalog mode option, click the New Catalog Mode Settings button. You can add as many catalog mode options as needed.

Misc. Fields (At the top of the panel)

This field lets you enable or disable a catalog mode setting, and determine if it should be applied. 


Admin Note

This field allows you to add notes for your own reference.


Settings

This section lets you control the catalog mode settings. You can add multiple settings here. 


Conditions

This section lets you control the conditions that must be met in order for the catalog mode settings to be considered applicable. 


The All conditions should match option ensures that all conditions must be valid, while the At least one condition should match option only requires one valid condition.


Adding Catalog Mode Setting

To add a new setting, select the type of setting you wish to add and click the Add Settings button in the Settings section. Then, specify all the settings parameters. 


1. Shop Page Settings

This panel lets you set up and manage the catalog mode options on the shop page.

"Add to Cart" Settings

This section enables you to customize, replace, or hide the add-to-cart button on the shop page.

Use the "Add to Cart" Visibility field to control the add-to-cart button, and the Customize "Add to Cart" field to customize it.

The Add to Cart Text and Variable Add to Cart Text fields allow you to modify the add-to-cart button text. 


If you want to replace the add-to-cart button, use the Replace With field and select Label, Link Button, or Text Block


The Label Text, Link Button Text and Text Block - Content fields let you customize the text for those options, and the Link Type field enables you to specify the type of link to apply to the Link Button (such as a Pop-Up Window, Blog post page link, or Page URL). 


The Destination Post, Destination Page, and Destination URL fields allow you to set the destination links, and the Pop-Up Window field lets you link to a pop-up window. 


The Target field controls how the destination link is opened. 


The Label - UI Design, Text Block - UI Design, and Link Button - UI Design fields allows you to modify the styling of the label, link button and text block UI, the styling options are available on the Other UI Designs page.


Price Settings

Use this section to customize, replace, or hide the product prices on the shop page. The fields in this section have similar functions to those in the "Add to Cart" Settings section.


Stars Rating Settings

Use this section to show or hide the products' star ratings on the shop page


Products

This section lets you filter the products that the settings should be applied to. Use the Add Product button to add a product rule, then specify the rule type and other options. You can add as many product rules as desired.


2. Product Page Settings

Use this panel to configure the catalog mode options on the product page. The fields in this panel have similar functions to those in the Shop Page Settings panel, with the exception of the Other Settings section.

Other Settings

This section enables you to show or hide other components such as variations, star ratings, and product tabs, on the product page. 


Use the Variations Visibility field to show or hide the variations component on the product page,

the Variations Visibility field controls the visibility of the product variations component,

the Stars Rating Visibility field controls the visibility of the star rating component,
and the Product Tabs Visibility field controls the visibility of the product tabs component. 


Use the Product Tabs field in combination with the Equals To field to select which product tabs to hide. 


3. Cart Page Settings

Use this panel to customize and control the catalog mode options on the cart page, including restricting access to it.

Restrict Access

This field determines whether or not access to the cart page should be restricted. To enable this function, set the field to Yes.


When the Restrict Access function is disabled, you can use the following fields to further modify the cart page functions.


  • Remove Subtotals field removes the subtotals amount on the cart page. 
  • Mini Cart Subtotals Text field replaces the subtotals amounts on the mini cart box, this field works in conjunction with the Remove Subtotals field. 
  • Remove Cross Sells removes the cross-selling products on the cart page. 
  • Hide Product Prices hides the product prices on the cart page and mini cart box, this field works in combination with the Product Price Text, Product Totals Text, and Mini Cart Price Text fields. 
  • Remove Coupons removes the coupon function on the cart page. 
  • Enable Cart Enquiry adds an enquiry form button to the cart page, this field works in combination with the Enquiry Button Text, Link Type, Pop-Up Window, Destination Post, Destination Page, Destination URL, Link Button - UI Design, and Target fields.


If the Restrict Access function enabled, you can use the following fields to restrict access to the cart page.


Restriction Mode

This field lets you restrict the cart page in one of two ways: by displaying an HTTP error or redirecting the user to a destination page, post, or URL. 


This field is used in conjunction with the HTTP Error Code, HTTP Error Message, Destination Page, Destination Post, Destination URL, HTTP Status Code, and X Redirect By fields.


4. Checkout Page Settings

Use this panel to customize and control the catalog mode options on the checkout page, including restricting access to it.

Restrict Access

This field determines whether or not access to the checkout page should be restricted. To enable this function, set the field to Yes.


Restriction Mode

This field lets you restrict the cart page in one of two ways: by displaying an HTTP error or redirecting the user to a destination page, post, or URL. 


This field is used in conjunction with the HTTP Error Code, HTTP Error Message, Destination Page, Destination Post, Destination URL, HTTP Status Code, and X Redirect By fields.


Setting Up Catalog Mode Per Product

In addition to setting up catalog mode options globally, you can also set those options for individual products by navigating to the Catalog Modes tab on the product page.  This allows you to override the global settings and specify unique or additional options for each product.
