The Handling Fees settings page can be used to create and manage handling fees based on product rules and co, the handling fees can be set as part of a shipping cost or as a separate cart fee.
Handling Fees Limit
This field determines whether or not the handling fees should have fee limits.
Limit
This field if applicable controls shipping fees limit per handling fee.
Limit Based On
This field controls the shipping fees based on the percentage of the cart and/or package totals calculations, cart & package totals calculations can be created on the Method Settings page.
Apply Mode
This field controls how all available shipping rates should be applied on the cart or checkout page. this field can be set to apply all valid fees, apply first valid fee, apply last valid fee, apply the most expensive fee, apply the cheapest fee or do not apply any rate.
Setting up Handling Fees
To set up a new handling fee, click the New Handling Fee button. you can add as many handling fees as need be.
Misc. Fields (At the top of the panel)
This field can be used to disable/enable the handling fee, the fields can also be used to determine whether or not the handling fee is applicable.
Title
This field controls the title text of the handling fee if the handling fee is added as a cart fee on the cart and checkout page.
Admin Note
This field controls the private note text, this is purely for reference purposes.
Fee Method
This field determines how the fee should be added. Apply as shipping cost will add the fee to its corresponding shipping rate's cost, while Apply as cart fee will add the fee to the cart or checkout totals whenever the corresponding shipping rate is selected.
Tooltip
This field controls the tooltip text that appears in front of the handling fee title text on the cart and checkout page if the fee is added as a cart fee.
Tax Calculation
This field determines how the handling fee taxes should be calculated, you choose to calculate the handling fee inclusive of taxes or exclusive of taxes.
Shipping Rates
This field determines which shipping rate the fee belongs to. the field also requires the Equals To field.
Equals To
This field determines how shipping rates should be included in the handling fee association.
Shipping Fees
This section controls shipping fee calculations, multiple shipping fees can be added here.
Grouped Shipping Fees
This section controls grouped-based shipping fee calculations, multiple grouped shipping fees can be added here.
Fees Limit
This field determines whether or not the handling fee should have fee limits. The function of this field is similar to that of the Handling Fees Limit.
Fee Conditions
This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the handling fee to be applicable.
The All conditions must match option ensures that all conditions are valid while At least one condition should match option will ensure that at least one condition is valid.
Setting up Shipping Fees
To set up a new shipping fee, click the Add Fee button in the Shipping Fees section. then specify all the shipping fee parameters.
Fee Type
This field determines what type of shipping fee should be added, you choose from the 20+ fee types included in the plugin.
Addition / Subtraction
This field determines how the shipping fee should be added to the handling fee. this can be set to Add to previous fees, Subsctract from previous fees or Override previous fees.
Validate Conditions
This field determines whether or not conditions should be validated on the shipping fee. setting this field to Yes will enable the Conditions list section of the shipping fee.
Fee
This field controls the shipping fee value, the calculated shipping fee derived from this value is also based on fee type and other settings.
Tax Class
This field determines whether or not the shipping fee is taxable, and also controls the tax class. setting this field to Based on package items tax option will calculate the tax rates based on the tax classes found in package items.
Shipping Classes
This field determines which shipping classes the Fee per shipping classes shipping fee should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.
Product Categories
This field determines which product categories the Fee per categories shipping fee should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.
Product Tags
This field determines which product tags the Fee per tags shipping fee should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.
Equals To
This field determines how Shipping Classes, Product Categories or Product Tags should be included in the Fee per shipping classes, Fee per categories and Fee per tags calculations.
Based On
This field determines what the Percentage fee and Percentage fee per item should be based on.
Quantity Multiplier
This field controls the Fee per item quantity multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.
Weight Multiplier
This field controls the Fee per weight multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier and Weight Calculator fields.
Length Multiplier
This field controls the Fee per length multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.
Width Multiplier
This field controls the Fee per width multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.
Height Multiplier
This field controls the Fee per height multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.
Surface Area
This field controls the Fee per surface area multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.
Volume
This field controls the Fee per volume multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.
Round To Multiplier
This field determines how the Fee per item quantity, Fee per weight, Fee per length, Fee per width, Fee per height, Fee per surface area and Fee per volume multipliers should be rounded.
Weight Calculator
This field determines what weight calculator to use, the weight calculators can be based on DIM Factors given to you by your courier service provider. The weight calculators can be created on the Method Settings page.
Tiered - Weight Range
This field lets you specify whether a tiered weight range should be considered for calculations
Weight - From
This field lets you specify the starting weight for the tiered weight range. This field allows you to define the lower limit of the tiered range.
Weight - To
This field lets you specify the ending weight for the tiered weight range. This field allows you to define the upper limit of the tiered range.
Tiered - Quantity Range
This field lets you specify whether a tiered quantity range should be considered for calculations.
Quantity - From
This field lets you specify the starting quantity for the tiered quantity range. This field allows you to define the lower limit of the tiered range.
Quantity - To
Specify the ending quantity for the tiered quantity range. This field allows you to define the upper limit of the tiered range.
Products
This section controls the list of product rules that need to be valid in order for a product to be included in a shipping cost calculation. A product rule can be set to either Required or Optional. Multiple product rules can be added.
Conditions
This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the shipping fee to be considered applicable.
This section requires the Validate Conditions field to be set to Yes. The conditions are based on the cart and package conditions, all listed conditions must be valid in order for the shipping fee to be considered applicable.
Setting up Grouped Shipping Fees
To set up a new shipping cost, click the Add Fee button in the Grouped Shipping Fees section. then specify all the shipping fee parameters.
The functions of this section are similar to that of the Shipping Fees section with the exception of the fields listed below. This section allows the package items to be grouped into sub packages, the feature is known as Consolidated Shipping.
The grouping of items in this section affects cart and package contents related conditions such as quantity, totals, weight etc.
Group Package Items
This field determines how the package items should be grouped into sub-packages. items can be grouped by quantity unit, line item, product, product category, shipping class or by order.
Products
This section controls the list of product rules that need to be valid in order for a product to be included in a package group.
Conditions
This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the package group to be considered applicable.
