Shipping Rates

The Shipping Rates setting page can be used to create and manage shipping rates (i.e the shipping methods). Multiple shipping rates and shipping costs can be made available based on product rules and conditions.

Cost Limit Per Rate

This field determines whether or not the shipping rates should have cost limits.


Limit

This field if applicable controls shipping costs limit per shipping rate.


Limit Based On

This field controls the shipping costs based on the percentage of the cart and/or package totals calculations, cart & package totals calculations can be created on the Method Settings page.


Apply Mode

This field controls how all available shipping rates should be applied on the cart or checkout page. this field can be set to apply all valid rates, apply first valid rate, apply last valid rate, apply the most expensive rate, apply the cheapest rate or do not apply any rate. setting the field to Do not apply any rate will disable Table Rate Shipping completely.


Method Conditions

This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the shipping method to be considered available on the front end. The conditions are based on the cart and package conditions.


The All conditions must match option will ensure that all conditions are valid while At least one condition should match option will ensure that at least one condition is valid.


Setting up Shipping Rates

To set up a new shipping rate, click the New Shipping Rate button. you can add as many shipping rates as need be.

Misc. Fields (At the top of the panel)

This field can be used to disable/enable the shipping rate, the fields can also be used to determine whether or not the shipping rate is applicable.


Title

This field controls the title text of the shipping rate, this is what will be presented to the customers on the cart and checkout page.


Admin Note

This field controls the private note text, this is purely for reference purposes.


Default Selection

This field determines whether or not the shipping rate is the default shipping that is selected on the cart or checkout page.


Tooltip

This field controls the tooltip text that appears in front of the shipping rate title text on the cart and checkout page.


Tax Calculation

This field determines how the shipping cost taxes should be calculated, you choose to calculate shipping costs inclusive of taxes or exclusive of taxes.


Description

This field controls the shipping rate description that appears below the shipping rate title text on the cart or checkout page.


Shipping Costs

This section controls shipping cost calculations, multiple shipping costs can be added here.


Grouped Shipping Costs

This section controls grouped-based shipping cost calculations, multiple grouped shipping costs can be added here. 


Costs Limit

This field determines whether or not the shipping rate should have cost limits. The function of this field is similar to that of the Cost Limit Per Rate.


Shipping Conditions

This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the shipping rate to be considered available on the front end. 

The functions of this section are similar to that of the Method Conditions. The conditions are based on the cart and package conditions.


The All conditions must match option ensures that all conditions are valid while At least one condition should match option will ensure that at least one condition is valid.


Setting up Shipping Costs

To set up a new shipping cost, click the Add Cost button in the Shipping Costs section. then specify all the shipping cost parameters.

Cost Type

This field determines what type of shipping cost should be added, you choose from the 20+ cost types included in the plugin.

Addition / Subtraction

This field determines how the shipping cost should be added to the shipping rate. this can be set to Add to previous costs, Subsctract from previous costs or Override previous costs.


Validate Conditions

This field determines whether or not conditions should be validated on the shipping cost. setting this field to Yes will enable the Conditions list section of the shipping cost.


Cost

This field controls the shipping cost value, the calculated shipping cost derived from this value is also based on cost type and other settings.


Tax Class

This field determines whether or not the shipping cost is taxable, and also controls the tax class. setting this field to Based on package items tax option will calculate the tax rates based on the tax classes found in package items.


Shipping Classes

This field determines which shipping classes the Cost per shipping classes shipping cost should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.


Product Categories

This field determines which product categories the Cost per categories shipping cost should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.


Product Tags

This field determines which product tags the Cost per tags shipping cost should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.


Equals To

This field determines how Shipping Classes, Product Categories or Product Tags should be included in the Cost per shipping classes, Cost per categories and Cost per tags calculations.


Based On

This field determines what the Percentage cost and Percentage cost per item should be based on.


Quantity Multiplier

This field controls the Cost per item quantity multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.


Weight Multiplier

This field controls the Cost per weight multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier and  Weight Calculator fields.


Length Multiplier

This field controls the Cost per length multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.


Width Multiplier

This field controls the Cost per width multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.


Height Multiplier

This field controls the Cost per height multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.


Surface Area

This field controls the Cost per surface area multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.


Volume

This field controls the Cost per volume multiplier, this field also uses the Round To Multiplier field.

Round To Multiplier

This field determines how the Cost per item quantity, Cost per weight, Cost per length, Cost per width, Cost per height, Cost per surface area and Cost per volume multipliers should be rounded.


Weight Calculator

This field determines what weight calculator to use, the weight calculators can be based on DIM Factors given to you by your courier service provider. The weight calculators can be created on the Method Settings page.


Tiered - Weight Range

This field lets you specify whether a tiered weight range should be considered for calculations


Weight - From

This field lets you specify the starting weight for the tiered weight range. This field allows you to define the lower limit of the tiered range.


Weight - To

This field lets you specify the ending weight for the tiered weight range. This field allows you to define the upper limit of the tiered range.


Tiered - Quantity Range

This field lets you specify whether a tiered quantity range should be considered for calculations.


Quantity - From

This field lets you specify the starting quantity for the tiered quantity range. This field allows you to define the lower limit of the tiered range.


Quantity - To

Specify the ending quantity for the tiered quantity range. This field allows you to define the upper limit of the tiered range.


Products

This section controls the list of product rules that need to be valid in order for a product to be included in a shipping cost calculation. A product rule can be set to either Required or Optional. Multiple product rules can be added.


Conditions

This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the shipping cost to be considered applicable. 


This section requires the Validate Conditions field to be set to Yes. The conditions are based on the cart and package conditions, all listed conditions must be valid in order for the shipping cost to be considered applicable.


Setting up Grouped Shipping Costs

To set up a new shipping cost, click the Add Cost button in the Grouped Shipping Costs section. then specify all the shipping cost parameters.

The functions of this section are similar to that of the Shipping Costs section with the exception of the fields listed below. This section allows the package items to be grouped into sub packages, the feature is known as Consolidated Shipping.


The grouping of items in this section affects cart and package contents related conditions such as quantity, totals, weight etc.


Group Package Items

This field determines how the package items should be grouped into sub-packages. items can be grouped by quantity unit, line item, product, product category, shipping class or by order.


Products

This section controls the list of product rules that need to be valid in order for a product to be included in a package group.


Conditions

This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the package group to be considered applicable.
