Cart Discounts

The Cart Discounts setting page can be used to create and manage gateway fees. Multiple cart discounts can be created based on product rules and conditions.

Discounts Limit

This field determines whether or not the cart discounts should have limits.

Limit

This field if applicable controls the discount limit.

Limit Based On

This field controls the cart discount limit based on the percentage of the cart totals calculations, cart totals calculations can be created on the General Settings page.

Apply Mode

This field controls how cart discount options should be applied on the checkout page. this field can be set to apply all valid discounts, apply first valid discount, apply last valid discount, apply the highest discount, apply the lowest discount or do not apply any discount.

Setting up Cart Discounts

To set up a new cart discount, click the New Cart Discount button. you can add as many cart discounts as need be.

Misc. Fields (At the top of the panel)

This field can be used to disable/enable the cart discount, the fields can also be used to determine whether or not the cart discount is applicable.

Title

This field controls the title text of the cart discount, this is what will be presented to the customers on the checkout page.

Admin Note

This field controls the private note text, this is purely for reference purposes.

Description

This field controls the cart discount description that appears as a tooltip in front of the title text on the cart or checkout page.

Apply As Coupon

This field determines whether or not the discount should be applied as a coupon discount on the cart, settings this field to Yes will enable the Coupon Code field and disable the Tax Calculation field.

Coupon Code

This field controls the coupon code that needs to be applied for the discount on the cart and checkout page. This field requires the Apply As Coupon field to be set to Yes.

Tax Calculation

This field determines how the cart discount taxes should be calculated, you can choose to calculate the cart discount inclusive of taxes or exclusive of taxes.

Cart Notification

This field controls the cart discount notification message on checkout page, parameters such as {{title}}, {{amount_ex_tax}} and {{amount_inc_tax}} can be included in the message.

Discount Amounts

This section controls cart discount amounts, multiple amounts can be added here.

Discounts Limit

This field determines whether or not the cart discount should have limits.

Shop Conditions

This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the cart discount to be considered applicable. 

The All conditions should match option ensures that all conditions are valid while At least one condition should match option will ensure that at least one condition is valid.

Setting up Discount Amounts

To set up a new cart discount amount, click the Add Amount button in the Discount Amounts section. then specify all the parameters.

Discount Type

This field determines what type of discount amount should be added, you choose from the 20+ discount types included in the plugin.

Addition / Subtraction

This field determines how the discount amount should be added to the cart discount. this field can be set to Add to previous amounts, Subsctract from previous amounts or Override previous amounts.

Validate Conditions

This field determines whether or not conditions should be validated on the discount amount. setting this field to Yes will enable the Conditions list section of the discount amount.

Amount

This field controls the discount amount value, the calculated discount amount derived from this value is also based on fee type and other settings.

Tax Class

This field determines whether or not the discount amount is taxable, and also controls the tax class. setting this field to Based on items tax option will calculate the tax rates based on the tax classes found in cart items. this field requires the Apply As Coupon to be set to No.

Shipping Classes

This field determines which shipping classes the Discount per shipping classes amount should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.

Product Categories

This field determines which product categories the Discount per categories amount should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.

Product Tags

This field determines which product tags the Discount per tags amount should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.

Equals To

This field determines how Shipping Classes, Product Categories or Product Tags should be included in the Discount per shipping classes, Discount per categories and Discount per tags calculations.

Based On

This field determines what the Percentage discount and Percentage discount per item should be based on.

Quantity

This field controls the Discount per item quantity multiplier.

Weight

This field controls the Discount per weight multiplier.

Length

This field controls the Discount per length multiplier.

Width

This field controls the Discount per width multiplier.

Height

This field controls the Discount per height multiplier.

Surface Area

This field controls the Discount per surface area multiplier.

Volume

This field controls the Discount per volume multiplier.

Products

This section controls the list of product rules that need to be valid in order for a product to be included in a discount amount calculation. A product rule can be set to either Required or Optional. Multiple product rules can be added.

Conditions

This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the discount amount to be considered applicable. 

This section requires the Validate Conditions field to be set to Yes. The conditions are based on the cart or shop conditions, all listed conditions must be valid in order for the fee amount to be considered applicable.
