Gateway Fees

The Gateway Fees setting page can be used to create and manage gateway fees. Multiple gateway fees can be created based on product rules and conditions.

Gateway Fees Limit

This field determines whether or not the gateway fees should have fee limits.


Limit

This field if applicable controls the gateway fee limit.


Limit Based On

This field controls the gateway fees limit based on the percentage of the cart totals calculations, cart totals calculations can be created on the General Settings page.


Apply Mode

This field controls how gateway fee options should be applied on the checkout page. this field can be set to apply all valid fees, apply first valid fee, apply last valid fee, apply the highest fee, apply the lowest fee or do not apply any fee.


Setting up Gateway Fees

To set up a new gateway fee, click the New Gateway Fee button. you can add as many gateway fees as need be.

Misc. Fields (At the top of the panel)

This field can be used to disable/enable the gateway fee, the fields can also be used to determine whether or not the gateway fee is applicable.


Title

This field controls the title text of the gateway fee, this is what will be presented to the customers on the checkout page.


Admin Note

This field controls the private note text, this is purely for reference purposes.


Description

This field controls the gateway fee description that appears as a tooltip in front of the title text on the cart or checkout page.


Tax Calculation

This field determines how the gateway fee taxes should be calculated, you can choose to calculate the gateway fee inclusive of taxes or exclusive of taxes.


Cart Notification

This field controls the gateway fee notification message on checkout page, parameters such as {{title}}, {{amount_ex_tax}} and {{amount_inc_tax}} can be included in the message.


Fee Amounts

This section controls gateway fee amounts, multiple amounts can be added here.


Fees Limit

This field determines whether or not the gateway fee should have limits. The function of this field is similar to that of the Gateway Fees Limit.


Shop Conditions

This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the gateway fee to be considered applicable. 


The All conditions should match option ensures that all conditions are valid while At least one condition should match option will ensure that at least one condition is valid.


Setting up Fee Amounts

To set up a new gateway fee amount, click the Add Amount button in the Fee Amounts section. then specify all the parameters.

Fee Type

This field determines what type of fee amount should be added, you choose from the 20+ fee types included in the plugin.


Addition / Subtraction

This field determines how the fee amount should be added to the gateway fee. this field can be set to Add to previous amounts, Subsctract from previous amounts or Override previous amounts.


Validate Conditions

This field determines whether or not conditions should be validated on the fee amount. setting this field to Yes will enable the Conditions list section of the fee amount.


Amount

This field controls the fee amount value, the calculated fee amount derived from this value is also based on fee type and other settings.


Tax Class

This field determines whether or not the fee amount is taxable, and also controls the tax class. setting this field to Based on items tax option will calculate the tax rates based on the tax classes found in cart items.


Shipping Classes

This field determines which shipping classes the Fee per shipping classes amount should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.


Product Categories

This field determines which product categories the Fee per categories amount should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.


Product Tags

This field determines which product tags the Fee per tags amount should be based on, the field also requires the Equals To field.


Equals To

This field determines how Shipping Classes, Product Categories or Product Tags should be included in the Fee per shipping classes, Fee per categories and Fee per tags calculations.


Based On

This field determines what the Percentage fee and Percentage fee per item should be based on.


Quantity

This field controls the Fee per item quantity multiplier.


Weight

This field controls the Fee per weight multiplier.


Length

This field controls the Fee per length multiplier.


Width

This field controls the Fee per width multiplier.


Height

This field controls the Fee per height multiplier.


Surface Area

This field controls the Fee per surface area multiplier.


Volume

This field controls the Fee per volume multiplier.


Products

This section controls the list of product rules that need to be valid in order for a product to be included in a fee amount calculation. A product rule can be set to either Required or Optional. Multiple product rules can be added.


Conditions

This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the fee amount to be considered applicable. 


This section requires the Validate Conditions field to be set to Yes. The conditions are based on the cart or shop conditions, all listed conditions must be valid in order for the fee amount to be considered applicable.
