Partial Payments

The Partial Payments setting page can be used to create and manage partial payments (i.e the partial COD or risk-free COD). Multiple partial payments and partial amounts can be calculated based on product rules and conditions.

Partial Amount Limit

This field determines whether or not the partial payments should have amount limits.

Limit

This field if applicable controls partial payment limit.

Limit Based On

This field controls the partial payment limit based on the percentage of the cart totals calculations, cart totals calculations can be created on the General Settings page.

Apply Mode

This field controls how partial payment options should be applied on the checkout page. this field can be set to apply first valid partial payment, apply last valid partial payment, apply partial payment with higher amount, apply partial payment with lower amount or do not apply any partial payment.

Setting up Partial Payments

To set up a new partial payment, click the New Payment button. you can add as many partial payments as need be, but only one valid partial payment gets to apply on the checkout page.

Admin Note

This field controls the private note text, this is purely for reference purposes.

Allowed Payment Methods

This field determines which payment method should be allow on partial payment orders.

Description

This field controls the partial payment description on checkout page, parameters such as {{partial_amount}}, {{remaining_amount}} and {{order_totals}} can be included in the description.

Payment Amounts

This section controls partial payment amounts, multiple amounts can be added here.

Shop Conditions

This section controls the list of conditions that need to be valid in order for the partial payment to be considered applicable. 

The All conditions should match option ensures that all conditions are valid while At least one condition should match option will ensure that at least one condition is valid.

Setting up Payment Amounts

To set up a new shipping cost, click the Add Amount button in the Payment Amounts section. then specify all the parameters.

Amount Type

This field determines what type of payment amount should be added, you choose from the 5+ amount types included in the plugin.

Amount

This field controls the payment amount value, the calculated amount derived from this value is also based on Amount Type and other settings.

Based On

This field determines what the Percentage amount and Product percentage totals should be based on.

Products

This section controls the list of product rules that need to be valid in order for a product to be included in a payment amount calculation. A product rule can be set to either Required or Optional. Multiple product rules can be added.
